Photo by AP Jones Javelina feces is of the same size and consistency as that of a medium size dog. If the animal is consuming a particularly moist diet, it will appear like a small pancake. When fresh it will generally be dark green in color. If it is hot out, the feces will take on an outward dry to almost tan/white appearance in only a couple hours (moisture evaporation), but the inside will be very "ripe".
